Dhaka (Jan 19, 2021): Actor Mijibur Rahman Dilu passed away during undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka early Tuesday. He was 69.
Dilu, who was also a freedom fighter, breathed his last at United Hospital in Dhaka around 6:30am. He was suffering from pneumonia, family sources said.
Earlier he was admitted to a hospital in Uttara area of Dhaka and later he was shifted to the United Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Born in November 6, 1952 at a village in Chattogram, Dilu started his carrier through theatre acting and in 1972, he became a listed artist of Bangladesh Television.
He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter and a host of admire to mourn his death.
The first namaz-e-janaza of Dilu will be held at the central mosque of Dhaka University after Zohar prayers.
The body will be kept on the premise of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy for an hour from 3:00pm and people from different classes and professions will pay their last respects to the departed soul.
Later, he will be buried at Banani Graveyard after Asr prayer.
