Bangladesh selects ‘Hawa’ for Oscars

Oscar Committee Bangladesh has selected Mejbaur Rahman Sumon directorial film "Hawa” for the 'Best International Feature Film' category of the 95th Academy Awards.

The Oscars, also known as the Academy Awards, is one of the biggest stages for the felicitation of a film. Its 95th iteration will take place on March 12, 2023.

"Hawa", a fantasy film, tells the story of fishermen and a mysterious girl who randomly shows up to their trawler. It is still running successfully in theatres.

The cast of "Hawa" includes Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Sumon Anowar, Nasir Uddin Khan, Sariful Razz, Shohel Mondol and Rizvi Rizu, among others.
