Sonali Paper’s quarterly EPS jumps

Sonali Paper, a listed company, has shown its earnings per share or EPS increased to Tk 6.66 for July-September quarter, up by over 957 percent from the same quarter a year ago.
The company’s EPS was just Tk 0.63 in July-September last year.
In a post on Dhaka Stock Exchange website, the company also informed that during the period sales and other income have increased. On the other hand, finance cost has decreased and as a result, net profit and EPS increased.
The company also said that its operating cash flows decreased during the period because of procurement of more quantity of raw materials compared to the period ended 30 September, 2020.
Sonali Paper’s share price rose to Tk 568 a share at the beginning of the trading on Wednesday. But after two hours into the trade, its price came down to Tk 541.
