New monetary policy to be announced June 30

Bangladesh Bank (BB) is going to declare a new monetary policy for the fiscal year (2022-23) on June 30, in light of the challenges of rising inflation rate and Taka weakening against the US dollar.

Fazle Kabir, outgoing governor of BB, will announce the monetary policy physically through a press conference.

However, in the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was announced virtually or uploaded on the central bank website.
