Primary reports find nothing suspicious on recent deaths of Russians at Rooppur NPP: Rosatom

JSC Atomstroyexport (engineering division of state-owned Russian corporation Rosatom) said they found nothing suspicious in the recent deaths of some Russian nationals at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.

Rosatom in a statement issued on Wednesday said they are observing some speculations in local media and social media around these death incidents.

“According to primary reports, nothing suspicious was found in all the incidents.,” reads the statement.

“At this moment, we are extending every possible support and cooperation to the investigation team working to confirm the reasons for each and every case of death.”

The statement also says based on the final investigation report, with the support of local and foreign partners, stakeholders, healthcare service providers, and the administration, they will take all kinds of necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such sad incidents in the future.

Media reports show five Russians working at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant have died in the past 11 days for unknown reasons.
