A first generation private lender, City Bank, filed a general diary (GD) with Gulshan Police Station citing that its top officials are being disturbed by fraud people over a media report saying that the bank’s CEO had paid for Pori Moni’s car.
In the GD, City Bank termed the media reports involving its CEO as ‘false and fabricated.’
Gazi M Shawkat Hasan, head of the bank’s legal wing, filed the GD on Monday.
Hasan said in the GD that a vested quarter is trying to cash in on the media reports and harass the bank’s top officials.
In the GD, City Bank asked law enforcers to take actions against the fraudsters who are trying to blackmail the bank’s chief executive officer.
Mashrur Arefin, Managing Director and CEO of City Bank, on Sunday wrote on his Facebook page about the issue. He claimed he did not know actress Pori Moni who was arrested last week on charge of possessing illegal drugs.
