Marie Stopes opens ‘premium maternity hospital’ at Mirpur

Marie Stopes Bangladesh (MSB) has launched a ‘premium maternity hospital’ in Dhaka’s Mirpur to provide better services to its clients.

The hospital, located at Road 4, Section 10, Mirpur, was inaugurated by Dr Naushad Faiz, vice-chairperson of Marie Stopes Bangladesh, on Saturday.

Marie Stopes Bangladesh, in a press release, said the hospital has upgraded facilities, such as a pharmacist-aided modern medicine shop, a modern operation theatre and a spacious outpatient department, among others.

Kishwar Imdad, country director of Marie Stopes Bangladesh, presided over the inaugural function.

Marie Stopes Bangladesh, an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices which has operations in 37 countries, said it has been a leading service provider of women’s health and wellbeing for the past three decades. 

It currently has 40 clinics in 28 districts across Bangladesh. Out of these, seven are maternity hospitals.
