Anisur Rahman elected president, Gautam Chandra gen secy of EMMA

Md Anisur Rahman Tareq, head of marketing of News24, has been elected as the president of Electronic Media Marketing Association (EMMA) for the next two years.
Meanwhile, Gautam Chandra Das from NTV was elected general secretary of the organisation, a press release from EMMA says.
EMMA organised a get-together on Saturday at a restaurant in Dhaka, where they also handed over the responsibilities to the newly elected committee.
Chief Election Officer Md Mahmudul Alam Khan, who is also the head of marketing on Banglavision, presided over the election that took place on January 23.
Since everyone was elected unopposed, the chief election commissioner made the declaration during an annual meeting.
Other than Mahmudul Alam, Suranjit Sinha Rana from Desh TV, Faisal Mohammad Ullah from Jamuna TV and Minhaj Uddin from Duronto TV acted as election commissioners.
The elected vice presidents are — Syed Nabil Ashraf from Gaanbangla TV, S B Bulbul from Ananda TV, Harun ur Rashid from ATN News, Shibli Sadik Kamrul from Ekattor TV and Ziaur Rahman Sumon from Channel I.
Newly elected assistant general secretaries are — Taslim Chowdhury from Mohona TV and Abbas Usman Reza from Independent TV.
