Biman starts flights to Toronto, Tokyo, Chennai in March

State-run Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to start flights to three new destinations — Toronto, Tokyo and Chennai — from March, the State Minister for Civil Aviation Mohammad Mahbub Ali said on Monday.
The announcement came at the inauguration of commercial service activities of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Printing and Publishing Department in Dhaka.
Thirteen new state-of-the-art aircraft have been added to the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines because of keen interest of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the state minister said.
“Two more new Dash-8 aircraft will be added to the fleet soon. These aircraft are providing the highest quality service to passengers on international and domestic routes.”
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Chairman Md Sajjadul Hasan, and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Mokabbir Hossain were present, among others, on the occasion.
