Rising Cumilla begins journey to uphold economic aspects of the ancient city

Rising Cumilla, a local news portal of the Cumilla Metropolitan City (CMC), has recently begun its journey with the objective of boosting economy and development and to uphold the history and heritage of the oldest district.

Apart from these, the Rising Cumilla will have news on various issues including politics, national and international, entertainment, sports, jobs and information technology.

It will also remain vibrant on focusing all sorts of news centering on the greater Cumilla division. Authority of the new venture in a brief speech said that the main objective of the news portal will be upholding the country’s image and goodwill at every stage all the time.

The district covers an area of over 53.84 square kilometers situated on the banks of the Gomti River in the southeastern tip of Bangladesh.

Comilla was one of the cities of ancient Bengal. It was known as Cumilla Municipality previously, until it obtained the City Corporation status by a Ministry of Local Government declaration on July 10, 2011.
