Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok celebrated the birthday of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and also National Children’s Day in the Thai capital on Wednesday.
The event was celebrated taking all precautionary measures and maintaining Covid-19 rules and regulations, said a press release.
Mohammed Abdul Hye, Bangladesh ambassador to Thailand, inaugurated the occasion by hoisting the Bangladesh national flag.
Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador paid deep respect to the father of the nation.
In the afternoon, children of Thailand and Cambodian expatriates showcased a gallery and talked about Bangabandhu.
The children were later awarded by the embassy.
In the evening, after prayers at the Islamic Centre in Bangkok, people and orphans prayed for the soul of the father of the nation.
