What are toll rates for Padma Bridge?

Though the Padma Multipurpose Bridge was inaugurated on Saturday, it will be allowed for vehicular movement from Sunday with government fixed toll rates.
As per decision of the bridge authorities, the passenger or goods-laden vehicles will be allowed to cross the bridge from 6am on Sunday after paying tolls.
government fixed the toll rates for using the Padma Bridge through a gazette notification on May 17. The tolls range is set from Tk 100 to over Tk 6,000 for different modes of vehicles.
As per the notification, the one-way toll rate for crossing the bridge for motorbikes has been fixed at Tk 100, Tk 750 for jeeps, Tk 1,200 for pick-up vans, Tk 1,300 for microbuses, Tk 1,400 for minibuses, Tk 2,000 for medium buses, and Tk 2,400 for large buses.
Besides, the rate for small trucks (up to 5 tonnes) was set at Tk 1,600, for trucks with capacity of 5-8 tonnes Tk 2,800, Tk 5,500 for three-axle trucks, Tk 6,000 for trailer trucks (up to four-axle) , and Tk 6,000 for trailers over four-axles and Tk 1,500 extra for each axles.
The tolls will come into effect from the day the bridge starts operation, according to the notification.
The bridge connects Louhajong, Munshiganj to Shariatpur and Madaripur, across the river Padma, linking the south-west of the country, to northern and eastern regions.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the historic Padma Multipurpose Bridge on Saturday.
She pressed a switch to inaugurate the bridge after attending a civic rally at the Mawa point of Munshiganj.
