In Photos: Mangal Shovajatra

The Dhaka University (DU) brought out Mangal Shovajatra, the colourful procession observed on the first day of the Bangla New Year, as part of Pohela Boishakh celebrations on Thursday.

This year, the Mangal Shovajatra, was brought out from the Teacher-Student Center of the DU.

The procession began at around 9am, while teachers, students, cultural activists and people from all walks of life took part in the procession wearing colorful dresses and holding placards and festoons.

It is worth mention that no Mangal Shobhajatra was held in 2020 due to the pandemic of coronavirus, and a small-scale procession was brought out in 2021.
