Golap Gram: A village of roses on the outskirts of Dhaka

Golap Gram, a village with huge rose gardens on both sides of the streets, is surprisingly close to Dhaka.

Located near Birulia union of Savar on the riverbank of Turag, the village is already famous as a tourist spot. With each passing day, more and more visitors go to the village to witness the lovely rose plants.

Most of the roses sold in Dhaka’s Shahbag and other areas also come from this nearby village. Shadman Al Arbi from Business Insider Bangladesh captured these stunning shots while visiting the village recently.
