The injured garment workers of Tazreen Fashion formed a human chain, wearing burial shrouds, in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday to seek compensation.
At one point, the protesting workers attempted to walk towards the Prime Minister’s Office. But police stopped them in front of the High Court.
Eight years ago on November 24, 2012, a deadly fire at Tazreen Fashion factory in Ashulia killed at least 112 workers.
The workers who got injured during the incident have been protesting in front of the press club seeking compensation and treatment for about two months now.
