India gain lead in 1st innings against Aussie

India got a vital lead of 62 runs at the end of second day play in the first Test against Australia in Adelaide on Friday.
India bowled host Australia out for 191 after the tourists got all out for 244 runs in the first innings. Captain Virat Kohli scored highest 74 runs.
Pacers Mitchell Starc bagged 4 wickets for 53 runs and Pat Cummins 3 for 48.
But mighty Australian batsmen were struggling to play Indian pacers — Bumrah, Shami and Yadav — before Ravichandran Ashwin’s came in to bowl. They were losing wickets at regular intervals.
Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets for 55 runs and Umesh Yadav 3 for 40.
Australia avoided a disaster as Captain Tim Paine was unbeaten on 73 runs while Marnus Labuschagne scored a sloppy 47 runs. Steve Smith scored 1 run playing 29 balls.
India lost Prithvi Shaw early in the second innings and closed the second day of the first test at 9 runs for a wicket.
