A magnificent win for Gemcon Khulna against Fortune Barisal

Gemcon Khulna won by 5 wickets against Fortune Barisal in the second match of Bangabandhu T20 Cup. 

While the start of Gemcon’s innings may have given the wrong impression that they are going to lose, with so many wickets going down early, it was the raw of sixes in last two over, mostly hit by Ariful Haque that saved the day for them. 

Ariful ended up securing 48 runs playing only 34 balls not out. His partner Shahidul Islam, also not out, played 7 balls and scored 8. One of the five sixes hit in the last two overs of the match came from his bat. 

It was quite unfortunate for Fortune Barisal, who was kind of at the verge of winning the game. 

Batting first, Fortune Barisal successfully secured 152 runs by losing 9 wickets against Gemcon Khulna.

In the second match of Bangabandhu T20 Cup, it was Parvez Hossain Emon who got most of the runs with an innings of 51 runs with 42 balls played. 

The captain of the team, Tamim Iqbal, made 15 runs playing 15 balls.

Shahidul Islam from Gemcon Khulna alone took four wickets, including two of the crucial wickets of Tamim Iqbal and Towhid Hridoy, only giving 17 runs in the four overs he bowled.
