Four in four: Bangladesh’s World Cup run end in group stage

Another disappointing World Cup journey for Bangladesh as South Africa beat the Tigers by six wickets on Tuesday.

Bangladeshi bowlers did their part quite well. Taskin took two. He gave an early breakthrough as well. But it was a really harsh day for the batters.

South African bowlers did their job just perfectly. Rabada and Nortje were brilliant with the ball. They took three wickets each.

South Africa invited Bangladesh to bat first. It was a slow start for Tigers.

After three overs they continuously lost their wickets and managed to score only 84 runs at the end.

Only three players from Bangladesh team touched the double figure while four batters — Soumya, Mushfiqur, Afif and Nasum — scored zero.

Bangladesh’s batting line up miserably collapsed in front of South African bowlers. In total four boundaries and a six were hit by the Tigers.
