Barcelona starkid Pedri won the 2021 Golden Boy award. He beat Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham to get this prestigious award.
He finished 199 points which was the largest margin of victory in the award's history.
The Spaniad won the Young Player of the Tournament at the Euro 2020. He played a vital role for the Spanish giants in their run to Copa del Rey victory.
The 19-year-old said to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, "I thank Tuttosport for this trophy which makes me proud. Thanks also to all the members of the jury and the fans who have always supported me in this simply incredible 2021 for me.”
"Of course, many thanks to Barca, the national team, my family, my friends and obviously to all those who have been close to me day after day without whom I would not have been able to win the Golden Boy," he added.
The midfielder recently signed a contract extension with Barcelona with a release clause of one billion euros. He will stay there until 2026.
