Sylhet Sunrisers change captain midway in the tournament

Under the captaincy of Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Sylhet Sunrisers won only one out of six matches. And now in the middle of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022, the team changed its captain. The new captain of the franchise is English cricketer Ravi Bopara.
Later, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said in a statement that Bopara has been appointed as the new captain of Sylhet Sunrisers.
Sylhet's media manager Mashuk Ali said that the decision was taken according to Mosaddek's wish.
"Mosaaddek wanted to leave captaincy for the last few matches. The vice-captain Anamul Haque Bijoy wasn't eager to do the captaincy either. Later, the coach talked with Bopara to take over the role," Mashuk said.
Earlier, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was removed from Chattogram Challengers' captaincy.
