Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets on Sunday to lift the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 trophy.
After winning the toss Rajasthan Royals opted to bat, but the betters could not perform well. Jos Buttler scored 39 which was the highest for his side.
They continuously lost wickets and posted 130 runs after losing nine wickets. Gujarat reached the target in style as Shubman Gill hit a maximum and won the match in 18.1 overs.
Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya was named the Man of the Match. He removed three batters - Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer. Pandya was economical as well. He just gave away only 17 runs.
It was a remarkable season as a captain for him, leading the Titans brilliantly and particularly on the big day where he put in an all-round performance, setting it up with the ball and leading them out of a tricky phase in the chase.
Gill played his role as an anchor, and there was David Miller, in the end, to finish it off as well.
