Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first against West Indies in the third and final T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday. The match was delayed due to a wet outfield.
The Caribbeans are 1-0 up in the series with a 35-run victory in the second match at Windsor Park in Dominica and the first match was abandoned due to rain.
The hosts are in the seventh position but the two-time World champions are one of the most dangerous sides in this format. They have players like Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, and Nicholas Pooran who are a serious threat to any opponent in the world.
On the other hand, Bangladesh have struggled with their batters as in recent time most of them could not perform well. Players like Mahmudullah Riyad, Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Litton Das have to step up in all departments to beat the Windies.
West Indies won eight out of 15 T20 matches against Bangladesh while the Tigers were victorious in five matches. Two games ended in no result.
Both sides made a single change in their playing XI. Keemo Paul was dropped. Dominic Drakes took his place. On the other hand, Nasum Ahmed will play instead of Taskin Ahmed for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Anamul Haque, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah(c), Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan(w), Mosaddek Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman.
West Indies (Playing XI): Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Shamarh Brooks, Nicholas Pooran(w/c), Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, Odean Smith, Dominic Drakes, Akeal Hosein, Obed McCoy, Hayden Walsh.
