Hasan Mahmud ruled out of Asia Cup

Bangladesh seamer Hasan Mahmud has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup due to a heel injury. He sustained the injury during practice on Saturday. 

After recovering from a longstanding injury, the pacer made a return and played against Zimbabwe. His impressive performance on that tour helped him to get a chance to play in the continental tournament.

The event is scheduled to start on August 27. The Tigers started practising on Saturday and Hasan sustained the injury while fielding at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. 

Bangladesh will fly to UAE on August 23. The six-team Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format this year as a precursor to the T20 World Cup in Australia.
