It was a perfect start for Bangladesh though they lost Sabbir Rahman’s wicket in the all-important clash against Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
After winning the toss, the Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka asked the Tigers to bat first. In the first over Bangladesh collected 11 runs while just three in the second over. However, n the third over, Asitha Fernando removed Sabbir Rahman who scored just five runs.
Sabbir went for a pull with a lack of footwork, but he was cramped for room. A thick top edge was induced and the keeper completes the formalities.
Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was looking really sharp in the middle. At the time of writing this report, he was on 31 off 19 deliveries.
After the end of five overs, Bangladesh were 47 for one. Miraz and skipper Shakib Al Hasan were in the middle.
