Pakistan posted 193 runs against Hong Kong in the all-important clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.
After winning the toss, Honk Kong skipper Nizakat Khan invited the men in green to bat first. It was a shaky start for them as they lost Babar Azam’s wicket early.
A bit slower from Ehsan Khan did the trick. The Pakistan batter lazily pushed it down the ground and Ehsan grabbed a sharp catch diving to his right in his followthrough. Babar made nine off eight deliveries.
However, Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman made a partnership of 116 runs. Both batters hit half-centuries.
Fakhar walked back after scoring 53 after facing 41 balls. Ehsan fired in a low full toss outside off watching Zaman advance. The southpaw sliced that straight to the point fielder and Aizaz Khan made no mistake to catch the ball.
