Bangladesh stunned defending champions India 3-0 to finish top of Group A of the SAFF Women's Championship 2022 on Tuesday.
Bangladesh's triumph means they will face Bhutan in Friday's semi-finals while India will play Group B winners Nepal.
Bangladesh were at their best defeating to finish their group stage campaign with a perfect record of three wins.
With India having won all previous five editions of the championship, they were the favourites going into the tie but Bangladesh had other ideas as they took the lead through Srimoti Sarkar in the 12th minute.
Jahan Shopna doubled Bangladesh's advantage in the 22nd minute, planting her shot into the bottom corner to leave India stunned.
India tried to mount a fightback but Bangladesh held firm as they took their lead into the half-time break.
Whatever hopes India had of a comeback in the second half were dashed in the 53rd minute as Jahan Shopna placed Sabina Khatun's pass into the back of the net.
The goal left India deflated as Bangladesh celebrated a historic win.
