The  UEFA Nations League clash between England and Germany ended in a 3-3 draw at the Wembley Stadium on Monday.

All six goals were scored in the second half of the match as the game remains goalless in the first 45 minutes. However, Germany took no time to take the lead after the break.

In the 52nd minute, Ilkay Gundogan did not make any mistake to make the scoreline 1-0 from the spot kick for his side. The Manchester City midfielder placed his shot into the bottom-right corner and left Nick Pope with no chance.

Kai Havertz doubled the lead in the 67th minute as he curled a superb finish into the top corner from the edge of the box.

However, the hosts became furious after conceding two goals and came back strongly into the game and found the net thrice to make the scoreline 3-2 for England.

In the 71st minute, Luke Shaw chested the ball down inside the six-yard box and forced a shot beyond Marc ter Stegen from close range which helped his side back into the match. Later in the 75th minute, England found the equaliser.

After Bukayo Saka slipped in Mason Mount with a low pass from the right, his fellow substitute slammed the ball past Ter Stegen with an unstoppable drive from the edge of the area.

The English captain Harry Kane joined the party in the 83rd minute. He stepped up to the spot and thundered a superb penalty kick into the top-left corner and for the first time in the match the hosts took the lead.

Post that, Havertz came to the rescue as he scored his second goal for the visitors to avoid defeat. In the 87th minute, a speculative long-range shot by Serge David Gnabry squirmed out of the grasp of Pope whose error saw the ball break to a razor-sharp Havertz who then turned the ball into the net from close range.

England who failed to win a single match in their last six games were at the bottom (fourth) of their group while Germany were in the third position. Italy and Hungary were respectively in the first and second spot.
