‘Maradona a superstar in my eyes’ says Mashrafe

Bangladesh former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on Thursday expressed deep shock at the death of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona and said he (Maradona) is a superstar in his (Mash) eye.

“There was no superstar bigger than you in my eye and no one, like you, will come again,” Mashrafe wrote in his official Facebook page soon after information of death of the world legend footballer Maradona.

Diego Maradona passed away after suffering a heart attack at his home on the outskirts of Buenos Aires on Wednesday at the age of 60.

Showing respect to the late world legend footballer, Mash wrote, “In my personal life, you were a superstar. I wanted to see you from very close to you.”

Remembering Argentina’s win in 1986 World Cup, the Bangladesh former captain also wrote, “You scored a goal by your left foot in the match. The picture of the moment will remain memorable in the canvas of my mind forever.”

The Bangladesh former captain in his post also sought eternal peace of the departed soul.
