BUBT, Robi hosts webinar on Career Progression in Post-Covid Era

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and Robi Axiata Limited jointly hosted a webinar on "Career Progression in the Digital and Post-Covid Era" on Saturday evening. 

BUBT Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Fayyaz Khan inaugurated the webinar. Managing Director & CEO of Robi Axiata Limited Mahtab Uddin Ahmed was the Key Speaker in the webinar. 

BUBT Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md. Ali Noor and other high officials of BUBT were also present in the webinar that was broadcast live on the Facebook pages of Robi and BUBT

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Fayyaz Khan said that BUBT is in a process to make collaboration with mobile operators in terms of providing hassle-free mobile internet and digital classrooms. 

“COVID-19 cannot stop our routine if we have fearless changes,” he added.

CEO of Robi Axiata Ltd Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said that only the government can take key initiative to provide better mobile internet service for users, especially for students. 

“Government can provide operators more bandwidth with a low price and reduced tax rate,” he added. 

Mahtab Uddin also suggested students not to be tensed about COVID-19 pandemic as its solution is not at our hand. 

“Students should look for new opportunities in this situation,” he said. 

According to Mahtab, Innovations like Blockchain, Artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 will create new jobs for skilled youths; these are not good for the old and current job market though.  

He suggested students to adopt the newer technologies and new knowledge to survive in the post-COVID-19 and future digital era.
