CTO Forum Innovation Hackathon kicks off

A 48-hour-long hackathon titled “CTO Forum Innovation Hackathon-2020” kicked off on Friday online.
The Hackathon will run till 7:00 pm of 26 December, 2020.
The CTOFB launched a focused strategic innovation centre namely “CTO Forum Bangladesh Innovation Centre,” which was inaugurated on the October 15, 2020.
Md. Abdullah Al Mamoon, DMD of United Commercial Bank and the convener of the arrangement, said the hackathon is being conducted on three challenges.
Challenge 1 is building a Virtual Assistance prototype that will be providing support direct to end-user. Each team must select one challenge for the team.
Challenge 2 is to automate a process, which is cumbersome and complex; and would require minimal human intervention.
Meanwhile, challenge 3 invites to bring innovative ideas and thoughts leveraging the benefits of AWS Server-less technologies to build an application of choice, which is innovative and end-to-end solution.
Each and every team has been assigned a mentor for the duration of the hackathon. Judges will find out the best three solutions and winners will be awarded.
The chief guest, BTRC Chairman Shyam Sunder Sikder highly appreciated such timely initiative by CTO Forum Bangladesh. Referring to the demographic dividend he mentioned that 65 percent of the population belongs to the youth age which brings fantastic opportunities to us.
He also told that achievements of Digital Bangladesh came through the hands of youth generation.
Special guest Nazrul Islam Khan, former ICT secretary, said that the old must leave their place for the new generation. He hoped that the upcoming professionals will be more capable and skilled than the current professionals and they will become the best in the world to bring glory to the country.
The chief judge of the hackathon Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman, solution architect at Amazon USA, expressed his trust and faith in the youths saying that they are the one who can learn and adopt the rapidly changing technologies.
He emphasized on continuous learning and implementation of that learning for the betterment of the nation.
