ICMAB hosts workshop on AI, blockchain’s impact on accounting

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) on Thursday organised a workshop on “How Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain will Transform Accounting and Auditing."
Conducted on Zoom, the workshop hosted Senior Secretary of ICT Division NM Zeaul Alam as the chief guest.
Vice President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and past president of ICMAB AKM Delwer Hussain was present as the special guest, according to a press release.
ICMAB President Md Jasim Uddin Akond presided over the workshop and Dr Hazik Mohamed, managing director of Stellar Consulting Group (Singapore) and fintech expert at iFintell Business Intelligence (Malaysia), gave a presentation at the event.
Former chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB GM Omar Faruque Chowdhury moderated the entire programme, connected the audience and discussants, and also gave his analysis regarding the topics of discussion.
Joint Secretary (E-Service Policy & Act Branch), ICT Division, AKM Abdullah Khan was present as a commentator.
Treasurer of ICMAB Md Ali Haider Chowdhury gave the welcome address and Abu Bakar Siddique, vice president of ICMAB, gave the vote of thanks to the participants and audience.
