Bangladesh has advanced one rank to 73rd position in Huawei's Global Connectivity Index 2020 by accelerating in Broadband and Artificial Intelligence (AI) compared to last year.
Huawei released the report recently based on 40 indicators under four pillars, namely supply, demand, experience, and potential from 2015 to 2020.
According to the GCI 2020 report, Bangladesh has advanced 8 points in the Global Connectivity Index since 2015.
And among those 40 indicators, compared to last year, it has advanced in international internet bandwidth and 4G connectivity in 2020. Potential of AI and internet of things (IoT) have increased as well.
GCI research suggests that economies which could increase productivity and go digital with intelligent connectivity generally enjoy higher gross value added (GVA) per worker or per hour worked.
