Huawei plans to launch 6G by 2030

Huawei's Rotating Chairman Eric Xu has recently announced that the Chinese tech giant will launch its 6G networks by the year 2030. 

Xu made the remarks at Huawei Global Analysts Summit in Shenzhen at South China's Guangdong Province, reads a press release.

Huawei highlighted the importance of unveiling the importance of 6G to the industry and individuals.  

To address this issue, a special white paper on 6G is going to be unveiled soon. The 6G white paper will provide the necessary details on the technology for industry regulators and players.

Huawei is currently working on two things related to 6G. Xu said, “Firstly, we are working with other players in the industry to define what 6G actually is. We want to discuss with businesses and consumers what 6G will look like. Secondly, we are also researching basic science and cutting-edge technologies, aiming to realise the 6G that we define together.”

Xu also shared that Huawei has been operating in the Asia-Pacific region for over 20 years and the company has been doing everything it can to support the digital transformation of the region’s various industries. 

“I believe this is an opportunity for Huawei. I also believe through our efforts we can help accelerate the transformation process in the Asia-Pacific region. We can bring our advanced technologies and hands-on experience in digital transformation to every country in the region, including their industries, businesses and governments,” Xu further said.
