You often receive unwanted promotional SMS, may it be in the middle of working something important on the phone or during sleep late at night.

You certainly find such SMS annoying, right?

But do you know that you can stop such SMS? No?

Yes, all the mobile phone operators have the option to switch off such SMS.

To stop promotional SMS, Grameenphone users can dial *121*1101#. And the service will be stopped immediately. If anybody wants to resume the service, they can dial *121*1102#.

In the case of Robi, its subscribers have to dial 123 and ask the customer service to enable “Do Not Disturb” option. With this, all promotional SMS will be stopped.

In order to avoid unwanted SMS, Banglalink users have to type OFF and send it to 6121.

If the promotional SMS still continues, the mobile phone subscribers can complain to the telecom regulator.

To complain, users have to go to http://www.btrc.gov.bd/complain-management or call at 2872.
