Joe Biden wins Georgia...finally!

US Presidential candidate Joe Biden has finally won Georgia and 16 of its electoral votes. 

This is an extraordinary victory for the Democrats. In 2016’s US election, Donald Trump won the state by 5 percentage point over then Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton. 

With the 16 electoral votes on Biden’s side, he now has 306 electoral votes in total while Trump has only 232. 

However, Joe Biden was already declared the winner of the presidential election on November 7 after flipping Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin to the Democrats’ side, since it only requires 270 electoral votes to win the election.

The state of Georgia didn’t go to Democrats’ side since Bill Clinton in 1992.
